German girl too strong for Tin Tin and Migot

German Alena Lemmer was like a wall for the both Stiga girls Tin Tin Ho, England, and Marie Migot of France. Lemmer beat Ho in the semi´s and Migot 4-1 in the finals.

- I do not know why but this German girl always make me play too hard and impatient, Tin Tin Ho said after her semi final. I just wanted to kill the rallies too early and did not really waited for my best opportunity.

On the other half of the draw Marie Migot played very safe and got a clear 4-0 victory against Maria Malanina of Russia. 11-4, 11-9, 11-6, 11-5.

If Migot should have won the finals she would have been the first French female to capture a title at a European Youth Championships, but she failed.

In the finals Marie looked a bit tense, losing the first to games quite clearly. But in the third her strong backhand started to work, she played with top spin close to the table and really did not give Lemmer any chance. Looked very steady after turning 1-5 til leading 10-7, then Marie Migot got passive in two duells, the German got a net roller
